Bless his heart, Sam keeps being overlooked which is so sad, all he asks for is his forever home. This poor boy recently watched his sister leave their foster home to go to her forever home. They were always together, never apart and they relied on each other for comfort. He eagerly awaits his perfect family where he can truly show his loveable personality and thrive in a caring and supportive environment. He really is a lovely boy, a good all -rounder.
He has so much love and happiness to give his new family. He adores the company of other dogs and has always lived with them, in Cyprus and in his foster home here. A resident dog is a MUST for Sam, a dog that will help with Samās confidence and show him the way, and of course one that will play on demand with him. He is very bouncy and playful.
A little bit about Samās life in Cyprus and the UK:
Sam and his sister Sophie had a sad start in life, at only a few weeks old they were dumped along with their siblings on the side of a busy road, left there to die. Sam and Sophie were the only two that survived. Thankfully they were found but far too young and vulnerable to go into a Shelter so they were taken into private kennels. They flourished in the kennels and were both happy bouncy puppies, beautifully looked after.
Sam exudes happiness and friendliness. While he can be a bit reserved initially with new people, this shy demeanour quickly transforms into an endearing charm. His love for toys and food is evident, reflecting a sweet temperament that makes him a joy to be around. Regular walks and quality time with people are among his favourite activities, highlighting his sociable nature. He is very bright and will require basic lead work and training when socialising with other dogs when out walking. Being a foodie it will help greatly with training. He gets excited when anyone approaches him. He will greet the person and is quite happy to receive hugs and cuddles. He has a lot of energy and apart from physical activity he would benefit from mental stimulation as well.
While he gets along well with other dogs, his interaction with cats may require careful consideration, although he did live with cats in Cyprus.
Sam is too young to be neutered. Prospective adopters are requested to commit to this procedure when he reaches the appropriate age which your vet will guide you with.
In his search for his forever home, Sam seeks patient and kind owners who can further nurture his confidence in new situations. Sam will thrive in a rural environment where he can enjoy a garden for playing in and having lovely countryside on his doorstep. Any children in the home will need to be over 10 years old.
